COVID-19 Protocol for Public Meetings
In order to continue practicing appropriate physical distancing, some Council Members, as well as members of staff, may be participating virtually in public meetings until further notice. In addition, the public has the option of participating in meetings online.
If you plan to attend in-person
For those who wish to attend a meeting in-person, seating will be arranged to accommodate physical distancing (chairs placed 6 feet apart). All those who attend are encouraged to follow COVID-19 hygiene practices:
- Face masks are required in compliance with Executive Order 20-81.
- Do not shake hands.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes.
- Wash your hands for 20 seconds.
Please note that if you are commenting during the meeting and are wearing a face mask, you will be asked to remove your mask while speaking.
If you plan to participate virtually
Members of the public may join the virtual meeting using a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device. Questions and comments may be submitted via the online Q&A feature within the virtual meeting. Please refer to the Participating in a Virtual Meeting Guide for more information.
The Woodbury City Council conducts regular meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road. All meetings are posted on the calendar.
Citizens are given an opportunity to briefly speak on topics which are not a part of the meeting agenda during the Open Forum portion of Council meetings. Persons wishing to speak must complete a sign-up sheet and present it to a staff person at the meeting. Speakers are limited to two minutes each. Public comments also are invited at public hearings. All public hearings are held as a separate item of business on Council agendas.
The Council also holds a workshop meeting (discussion meeting) on the third Wednesday of each month. Workshop meetings start at 6:30 p.m. All meetings, unless otherwise noted, are open to the public.
Meeting agendas are prepared on the Friday preceding the meeting date. On the meeting day, agendas and speaker sign-up sheets are available outside the Council Chambers. Persons wishing to obtain an agenda in advance of a meeting may contact Kim Blaeser, city clerk, at 651-714-3524 or email@example.com.
