Bus service in Woodbury

Metro Transit and Laidlaw Transit Services, Inc. provide express bus service to downtown St. Paul and downtown Minneapolis from Woodbury on weekdays. Local circulator service in Woodbury neighborhoods, connecting riders to the express buses, also is available Monday through Friday. From downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis, connections may be made with other routes traveling to the University of Minnesota, Mall of America, and the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.

Traveling between transit systems is easy because a regional fare and transfer policy is used by all systems. Fares are based on time of day and type of service, with special fares for seniors, youth and persons with disabilities. Fare boxes accept both coins and dollar bills, but do not give change.

Dial-a-ride service within the City of Woodbury also is available to Woodbury residents. The local service is wheelchair accessible and operates much like taxi service within the city during non-peak transit hours, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Service is also available to Sun Ray Shopping Center in St. Paul where customers can make connections to other Metro Transit routes operating to St. Paul, Oakdale, and Maplewood, including Maplewood Mall.
