Storm Sewer System ImprovementsUpdated: October 21, 2008 The city experienced a major rainfall event in October 2005 that exceeded our storm sewer system's design capacity. As a result, city staff, consultants and the South Washington Watershed District have completed extensive studies of problem areas. The city has made improvements at various locations around the city, including the Marsh Creek Road area, Wilmes Lake Watershed and others. The city also has developed a Flood Relief Grant Program with the help of the South Washington County Watershed District. This program provides grant money to property owners whose homes are potentially susceptible to flooding. If you think your home is at risk, your home has been flooded, or you have questions regarding future city projects, contact Theron Drier, Woodbury Engineering Division, at (651) 714-3593. |
