Neighborhood Traffic Control

On March 9, 1994, the Woodbury City Council adopted the Neighborhood Traffic Control Policy. This policy was developed jointly by the Police Department and Engineering Department. The purpose of the policy is to establish a problem solving process to effectively handle traffic problems in a neighborhood.

When the Police Department receives a call about a traffic problem, an officer will be assigned to gather information about the problem. The Police Department will work with those affected by the problem to better understand the problem and reach a successful conclusion. Solutions may include additional enforcement, use of a trailer notifying motorists of their speeds, traffic counts, additional signage or road engineering changes.

The Police Department would like to hear from you if you have neighborhood traffic concerns. To report traffic problems call the Woodbury Police Department at (651) 714-3600, request service online, or e-mail us at police@ci.woodbury.mn.us.
