Operation Identification

Operation ID is a method of marking property with a special number assigned to you individually. The number is available to any police agency in North America and can also be accessed by INTERPOL (International Police). Should anyone find property marked with your Operation Identification Number, the police can access your name and address by running the number. This makes it more difficult for criminals to deal in stolen property and easy for police to prosecute such criminals.
