The Police Department protects human life and property by responding to emergency and nonemergency calls for service, enforcing laws and ordinances, investigating crimes, apprehending criminals, providing proactive policing and maintaining order.
Our Public Safety Department is unique in how we deliver police, fire and emergency medical services. Our police officers, firefighters, and paramedics work and train together each and every day.
In 1995 we began training police officers as paramedics. Today many of our police officers work in dual roles as police officer/paramedics or police officer/firefighters. We believe our integrated approach not only saves money, it saves lives.
One of the ways the department continues to build public trust is by keeping open lines of communication with those whom it serves. To reach the Police Department, please see the contact information listed below.
