The Building Inspections Division is responsible for the application and enforcement of the building code and related ordinances regulating construction, alterations and the use of buildings within the city. The division also is responsible for administering the fire code and property maintenance code. The Planning Division conducts long-range planning for future growth in the city, and assists the Planning Commission in reviewing zoning and site design of current development projects.
