Teen Art Show 2008

Artists ages 12 to 19 presented their best work for the 2008 Teen Art Show this summer. The Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department organized the contest and city employees selected winners in each of three categories -- painting, drawing and photography. An award ceremony was held on Aug. 4 at the Central Park amphitheater with prizes sponsored by Associated Bank. Entries will be on display at Central Park and City Hall from Aug. 1 to 28.

Winners of the 2008 Teen Art Show are:

Bethany Olive took home the first place award in the Drawing category for her work, "The Lion Aslan."	Cody Nelson won top honors in the Photography category for this piece, "Marigold Study #1."
This painting, "Lemons in a Bowl with Peel" by Lucia Cai, took the first place title in the Painting category.
Other top winners include: Drawing category
Clarissa Odin won second place with this drawing titled "Under the Umbrella."	Ryan Ayre took third place with "The Joker."
Photography category
Kyra Anderson took second place in the photography category with "End of the Journey."	Alex McCausland earned third place for this collection of photographs titled "Chicago."
Painting category
Katerine Du won second place for her painting, "Lazy Summer Lounging."	Meghan Runkel took third place in the painting category with "In the End it's Right."
