12th Annual Woodbury Days Bike Ride
The City of Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Woodbury Days Council, is offering this fun and exciting bike ride for all ages and levels of experience. Choose from a 10-, 30- or 60-mile course. The picturesque course runs throughout the cities of Woodbury, Lake Elmo, Stillwater and Afton. Pre-register by Aug. 20 at www.woodburydays.com/bikeride.aspx and SAVE! Don’t miss this fun and healthy community event. Day-of-ride registration and check-in is on Saturday, Aug. 28, between 7:30 and 9 a.m. at Colby Lake Park, 9715 Valley Creek Road.
Geocaching Basics
Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. A fun part of the treasure hunt is to find a cache (treasure) that may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. We have many of these treasures within Woodbury. We will show you how to enjoy this electronic treasure hunt while exploring local parks. GPS units provided for use. Space is limited.
Age: Recommended for families with kids age 6 and up

Big Truck Day and Safety EXPO
The east lot of Central Park will be full of the coolest vehicles around for the third annual Big Truck Day. Inside Central Park will be the Safety Expo. The Safety Expo will have demonstrations and hands-on opportunities throughout the morning on safety related topics including home, identity, Internet and personal safety. Safety experts/vendors wanting to participate are welcome to contact Rebecca Leatherman at rleatherman@ci.woodbury.mn.us to participate in the Expo portion of the event (deadline is Sept. 17).
This event is a partnership between Woodbury Public Safety, Parks and Recreation, Washington County Library and the Woodbury Public Safety Board.

Annual Buckthorn Busting Event
Volunteers, age 13 and up, will gather at the Powers Lake Shelter, 10000 Brookview Road. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is recommended by calling (651) 714-3583. So join your neighbors and friends by volunteering for this fun event as we remove as much buckthorn as possible from the area between the trail and lake shore.

Burn It Up - 5k Run/Walk
Join us for a beautiful fall evening run/walk around Colby Lake, a great event for the whole family. All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a cool t-shirt, goodies along the way, and the opportunity to enjoy a huge bonfire at the park after the race. This run is co-sponsored by Ways to Wellness on the Woodwinds Health Campus.
Date: Saturday, Oct. 23; pre-register by Oct. 15
Time: Registration starts at 6 p.m. Run begins at 7 p.m. Walk starts at 7:15 p.m.

Classic Movie Night
Movies are shown in the amphitheater at Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place. Adults must accompany children. Cost is $3 per person for the unlimited popcorn and beverage. This family event is sponsored by Woodbury Parks and Recreation and the Southeast Area YMCA. Enter doors using the west side parking lot. Doors open at 6 p.m., movie starts at 6:30 p.m.

Breakfast with Santa
Santa will be taking a break from making toys and wants you to join him and a few of his elves for a catered breakfast by McHattie's Victorian Times, a holiday craft and picture with your jolly ol' friend. Bring your own camera. Santa wants to see you dressed in your holiday best! If you are signing up with another family, please let us know at the time of registration so we know to seat you together.

Take a Picture with Santa
Put on your holiday smiles and come to Central Park to have your picture taken with Santa Claus. Cost is $3 per group for posing with Santa. Number of photos will be limited to keep the line moving. Bring your own camera. Participants will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

New Year's Eve Family Celebration
Ring in the New Year at the Bielenberg Sports Center! Games, moonwalks, slides, an obstacle course, mini-golf, bingo, open ice skating, Woodbury Skating Club exhibition, and more! Door prize drawing will be held at 8:30 p.m. before the big countdown to 2011 at 8:45 p.m. Purchase your ticket by Friday, Dec. 17, and your name will be entered into a special drawing.

- This event is limited to the first 600 people.
