Central Park: A Location as Special as the Wedding
Celebrate your marriage at one of the Twin Cities' most beautiful and unique event venues. Woodbury's Central Park offers an unforgettable setting for both your wedding ceremony and reception with the feel of an outdoors event with all of the comforts of the indoors. Our spacious facility has seating for 200 guests for a ceremony and 250 guests for a seated dinner. Our indoor garden area designed to suggest the St. Croix River Valley features 60 trees, more than 1,400 ground covering plants, miniature cliffs, a 16-foot waterfall and a small stream that make the space a picturesque setting for your wedding photos.

The facility is available for a private rental from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The rental also includes the setup and takedown of all tables and chairs as well as on-site staff the night of the event. This rental includes the Valley Creek Banquet Room, kitchen, Tamarack Conference Room, outdoor patio, upper level plaza and garden area, and amphitheater. Additional rental time of some of these areas before 5:30 p.m. is available on a first come first served basis.

Central Park offers two distinct options for a wedding ceremony that can accommodate for groups of 20 to 200 people.

Wedding and Reception

Wedding Ceremonies
Central Park offers the convenience of holding your wedding ceremony in the same location as your reception. The three options for holding your wedding ceremony are the indoor amphitheater (200 seated guests), the indoor bridge (30 standing guests), or the outdoor bridge (250 standing guests).

Setup and Layout of Event for a Seated Dinner
Central Park can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests seated throughout the facility. Our professional staff set up and take down all tables and chairs for each event. The building coordinator will work with you to design the best layout for your event. The three options for a seated dinner are the Valley Creek Banquet Room on the lower level (150 guests), the upper level pathway and plaza (170 guests), and the outdoor patio (75 guests).

Food and Beverage
Central Park allows you to bring in any Minnesota licensed food caterer to enhance your event. Any events serving alcohol must go through our exclusive beverage caterer, Complete Beverage Service. If you will be serving alcohol at your event, there is an additional fee charged to have a security officer present. Renters are responsible for discussing the catering guidelines with their caterer and submitting a copy of their caterer permit, as well as their proof of insurance to the building coordinator via fax at (651) 702-1346.

Linen Service
Below are the fees for the Central Park Linen Service (valid through Dec. 31, 2009)

  • $10 per guest table linen (white or ivory) and 8 napkins (white, ivory, or colored)
  • $8 per guest table linen (white or ivory)
  • $7 per service table (white or ivory)
  • $10 per service table skirt (white only)

Decorating
You are welcome to bring your own decorations and accessories. Please note that all candles must be in votives and nothing can be taped or tacked to the walls. Additional setup/photo shoot time can be arranged on a first come first serve basis between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at a fee of $80.34 per hour.

Fees
The fees to rent the facility include a private rental from 5:30 p.m. to midnight and the setup of all tables and chairs. Fees are as follows:

Residents
165 guests and under: $1,071.25
165 guests and greater: $1,285.50

Non-residents
165 guests and under: $1,285.50
165 guests and greater: $1,499.75

(Fees include Minnesota sales tax. Some fees are subject to change.)

Additional Services

  • Security Officer (if serving alcohol): $300 (security fees subject to change)
  • Linen Service: $10 per table (includes white or ivory table linen and eight folded white, ivory or colored napkins around each table)
  • Additional Setup/Photo Shoot Time (available between 4 and 5:30 p.m.): $80.34 per hour
  • Sound and Light Technician (available to provide audio/visual services for your wedding ceremony or event in the amphitheater): $37.49/hour
  • Private Rental of Lookout Ridge Indoor Playground (for two hours for groups up to 50): $214.25 plus $4.82 per person after 50 people.

Wedding Ceremony Only

Wedding ceremony taking place in Central Park amphitheater.

Amphitheater Ceremony
The indoor amphitheater can seat up to 200 guests. This spacious area includes men's and women's dressing rooms, pull-down screen and sound technician services for an additional fee. A baby grand piano is available for rental for $133.91 per event. This space is available for rent until 4 p.m. most Fridays and Saturdays.

 

Cost
$214.25 per event (includes two hours of amphitheater rental)
$289.23 per event (includes two hours of amphitheater rental and two hours of sound technician services)
$80.34 additional hours and photo shoot time

 

Bridge Ceremony
Perfect for a civil or small wedding ceremony, a bridge wedding can accommodate for up to 30 guests. This includes use of the facility for two hours for your wedding ceremony and photos, men's and women's dressing rooms, as well as a public address system. Extra hours can be arranged for $80.34 per additional hour. This space is available for rent until 4 p.m. most Fridays and Saturdays.

Cost: $267.81 per event

 

Photo Shoot
Reserve time at Central Park to take professional photos on your wedding day. The weather is always nice inside Central Park making it a reliable and beautiful space for your wedding pictures. This space is available for rent until 4 p.m. most Fridays and Saturdays.

Cost: $80.34 per hour
