Skate Rental and Sharpening

Skate rental and sharpening services operate out of the Bielenberg Sports Center (BSC) pro shop located in the west rink.

Skate Sharpening
Skate sharpening is available during regular operating hours. BSC employees are properly trained and experienced in sharpening figure skates and hockey skates. While sharpening a pair of skates only takes about five minutes, customers are strongly encouraged to arrive 10 or 15 minutes early to ensure a staff member is available. BSC does not sharpen double-bladed skates.

Skate Rental
Skate rentals -- both figure skates and hockey skates -- are available during skating lessons and open programs. Rental skates are to be returned after each use and are not allowed to be taken out of the building. Sizes range from a kids 8 to an adult 12; half sizes are not available.

Selected pro shop items also are available for purchase at the concessions stand, including laces, white and black hockey tape, and mouth guards.

Fees
Skate Sharpening: $4 per pair
Skate Rentals: $2 per pair during an open program and $1 per pair during lessons
