Veterans Memorial

Veterans Day Celebration

On Sunday, Nov. 11, the annual Veterans Day celebration will be taking place at the Woodbury Veterans Memorial. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. 

The Woodbury Veterans Memorial is located on the City Hall campus at 8301 Valley Creek Road west of Radio Drive. The memorial can be accessed from the east parking lot.

The Woodbury Lions, the City of Woodbury, Woodbury veterans organizations, Woodbury businesses, and individual Woodbury citizens came together to form the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial Council to build the Woodbury Veterans Memorial. Construction began in fall of 2007; dedication ceremonies were held in November 2008.

Engraved stone pavers can be purchased to honor any veteran of military service including personnel presently serving in the military. Pavers are placed in alternating offset rows throughout the memorial site. For more information, visit www.woodburylionsvetmem.org/Site_3/Order_Pavers.html.
