Paid-on-call Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or
Paid-on-call Firefighter/EMT

The City of Woodbury is seeking applicants for the positions of paid-on-call emergency medical technician (EMT) and paid-on-call firefighter/EMT.

This position is responsible for protecting life and property through performing fire fighting and emergency aid. In addition, firefighters deal with hazardous materials and fire prevention.

Minimum qualifications:

• Ability to regularly respond to emergency calls within four minutes to assigned station;
• Eighteen years of age or older (at the time of joining department);
• A valid state driver's license (or ability to obtain prior to start date);
• Ability to be insured;
• A high school diploma (or GED);
• Ability to learn and apply standard fire fighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials, and fire prevention techniques; and
• Ability to meet department physical standards.

Starting salary: $10 per hour.

Deadline: Applications are accepted year-round.
