Building Permits

BSC

The Building Inspections Division is responsible for the application and enforcement of the building code and related ordinances regulating construction, alterations and the use of buildings within the city. The division is also responsible for administering the fire safety code and property maintenance code.

Building Permits are required for many building projects, including new construction, additions, structural changes, decks, finished basements, pools, demolition, roofing, siding, and window replacement. Many projects require a plan review. Permit fees are paid at the time the permit is issued.
