Housing and Redevelopment Authority
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is a separate, legal authority under state law that directs redevelopment projects with the specific purpose of removing blight and promoting affordable, safe, and decent housing. The HRA has adopted a Housing Action Plan (PDF) which reaffirms the city's desire to provide affordable and life cycle housing. The Housing Action Plan outlines the city's goals for affordable housing and identifies tools the city can use to achieve those goals. The City Council serves as the HRA, a common practice among municipalities.
The HRA generally meets on the second Wednesday, every two months, at 6:45 p.m., prior to regular Council meetings. Meetings are cablecast at
6:45 p.m. on Channel 16 and are also rebroadcast throughout the week. Check the Woodbury Bulletin or call the South Washington County Telecommunications
Commission at (651) 458-9241 for rebroadcast dates and times. Programming details are also available on the South Washington County Telecommunications Commission Web site at www.swctc.org. In addition, live and archived Housing and Redevelopment Authority meetings can be viewed on the South Washington County Telecommunications Commission Web site. View the upcoming HRA agenda.
