Household Hazardous Waste
Woodbury residents may bring household hazardous waste to the Washington County Environmental Center at no charge. Please bring a proof of your residency in the county.
Location
The Washington County Environmental Center is located at 4039 Cottage Grove Drive in Woodbury. From I-94, exit on Woodbury Drive. Go south on Woodbury Drive to Bailey Road and turn left. Follow Bailey Road to Cottage Grove Drive and turn right. The facility will be on your left.
Hours
Tuesday, noon to 7 p.m.
Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The facility is open year-round, but is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and other major holidays.
Accepted Items (partial list)
Paint, gasoline, paint thinner, kerosene, driveway sealer, anti-freeze, used oil, household cleaners, oil filters, pesticides, pool chemicals, Ni-Cad (rechargeable) batteries, fluorescent lamps.
Electronics Recycling
Electronics also are collected at no charge to county residents. Electronics from businesses are not accepted. Items accepted are: computers, computer monitors, printers, TVs, DVD and VCR players, fax machines, and computer peripherals, such as keyboards, speakers, mice, etc.
Free Products Reuse Room (at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility)
Looking for usable paint, stain, varnish, household cleaners, spray paint, mineral spirits, car care products, adhesives, wood sealant and other products? All products brought into the Environmental Center are inspected to determine if they are a usable product. If the container and product are in good shape, it is put into the reuse room for others to take. One person's waste can be another's useful product! By using these items, you are helping to save hazardous waste disposal fees.
