The excavation company DM Rau is working to complete the two remaining ponds located in the Seasons Park corridor as part of the 2011 Pond Dredging project. The weather forecast calls for below-freezing temperatures, which is favorable for dredging. Restoration and some final channel work will be completed spring 2013.
Minnesota Dirt Works has the low bid for this year’s pond dredging project. The contractor has begun mobilizing and clearing and grubbing. This year’s project includes six ponds located in five different areas throughout the city. With favorable weather conditions in the forecast, this project should get off to a good start.
