On Sale Wine and Beer License

SUMMARY

 

Pei Wei Asian Diner, Inc. is converting to a limited liability corporation.  Because the entity is changing from a corporation to an LLC a new application is required in regards to the beer and wine license.   Therefore, Pei Wei Asian Diner LLC dba Pei Wei Asian Diner has submitted an application for an On Sale Wine and Beer License for their restaurant located at 8300 Tamarack Village, Suite 102.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends the Council approve issuing an On Sale Wine and Beer License to Pei Wei Asian Diner, LLC dba Pei Wei Asian Diner for their location at 8300 Tamarack Village, Suite 102, Woodbury.

BACKGROUND

 

Pei Wei Asian Diner, Inc. (the current licensee) is converting to a limited liability corporation.  Because the entity is changing from a corporation to an LLC a new application is required in regards to the beer and wine license.  Therefore, Pei Wei Asian Diner LLC dba Pei Wei Asian Diner has submitted an application for an On Sale Wine and Beer License for their restaurant located at 8300 Tamarack Village, Suite 102, Woodbury.

Officers of Pei Wei Asian Diner, LLC are as follows:  Richard Federico, CEO; Robert Welborn, Executive Vice President; CFO/Secretary Mark Mumford and President Kevin Charles Moylan. 

 

A background as it pertains to liquor licensing was performed on these officers and was found to be in order.

 

Staff will provide the applicant with a copy of our city ordinance and alcohol violation policy.  We will also discuss our server training and our alcohol compliance check program with him.  All of this information is covered in our Protect Your Business manual.

 

The applicant has submitted all necessary fees.  The city attorney has reviewed the application and has found it to be in order.
