Hotel Woodbury, L.P. dba Sheraton Hotel Woodbury

676 Bielenberg Drive

On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License including Sunday Sales and Patio

 

 

SUMMARY

 

The Sheraton St. Paul Woodbury, located at 676 Bielenberg Drive, has been sold to Hotel Woodbury L.P. dba Sheraton Hotel Woodbury.  As a result, Hotel Woodbury, L.P. dba Sheraton Hotel Woodbury has submitted an application for an on sale intoxicating liquor license including Sunday Sales and patio.    

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends Council approve an on sale intoxicating liquor license including Sunday sales and Patio to Hotel Woodbury L.P. dba Sheraton Hotel Woodbury for their location at 6025 Hudson Road.

BACKGROUND

 

In March 2012, due to a foreclosure action at the property located at 676 Bielenberg Drive (Sheraton Woodbury), Wischermann Partners, Inc., was appointed as Receiver of the property.  Due to the change of ownership Wischermann Partners, Inc. was required to obtain a new liquor license. 

 

On December 17, 2012, Wischermann Partners, Inc. sold the property to Hotel Woodbury LP dba Sheraton Hotel Woodbury.

 

The owners of the Hotel Woodbury, L.P. are Raymond Herman Schulte with 50 percent ownership and Susan Mary Ellen Schulte with 50 percent ownership.  The applicant has submitted the license fee and background investigation fee.  A criminal history check, as it pertains to liquor licensing, was conducted on the owners and checks have come back clear. 

 

The city attorney has reviewed the application and has found it to be in order.

 

Staff will provide the general manager with a copy of the City of Woodbury ordinance and alcohol violation policy and will discuss the City’s server training and our alcohol compliance check program with them.
