SUBJECT: |
Human Resources Specialist Position – Compensation Plan Band Assignment Change |
Staff is recommending the Human Resources Specialist position be changed from Band F to Band E of the City of Woodbury Compensation Plan. The recent resignation of the Human Resources Specialist necessitates this change in preparation for posting the position.
It is recommended the Council adopt the attached resolution to approve changing the Human Resources Specialist position Band assignment from Band F to Band E of the City of Woodbury Compensation Plan.
The wage range of the position will change from $51,604-$74,838 to $46,779-$67,828. Budgetary impact can only be determined when the next person is hired for the position.
No public process has been required for this issue.
The Human Resources Specialist position was created in the 1990’s to provide human resources assistance to the Administration Services Director. The position is responsible for hiring and benefits administration, policy creation, special project assistance, in addition to other items.
Through additional analysis, it has been determined that the position is more appropriately placed in Band E in the City of Woodbury Compensation Plan based on market wage for the position and comparable market and internal comparable positions.
