Members of the Woodbury Public Safety Department will be at Valley Creek Mall Saturday, May 17, from noon to 3 p.m. to participate in the ninth annual Kids Day America/International event. The purpose of the event is to educate local families and communities on international health, safety, and environmental awareness issues. It is being sponsored locally by Dr. Jim Kreibich of Woodbury Chiropractic and Wellness Center, Inc.
The Public Safety Department will provide fingerprinting kits for kids, conduct blood pressure checks and give bike safety demonstrations. An ambulance, fire truck, and patrol car also will be on display. In addition, a variety safety information - from child restraint seats to the DARE program - will be available.
The department also will kick off the annual Safe and Sober campaign (May 19-June 1), and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week (May 18-24) at the event.
